Terrelle Pryor optimistic after first workout with Kirk Cousins
New Washington wide receiver Terrelle Pryor seems to be forging a solid new relationship with his quarterback.
After Monday’s first voluntary workout of the offseason, Pryor had nothing but praise for Kirk Cousins, saying the two were quickly getting on the same page.
“It was about him getting my timing down,” Pryor said, via John Keim of ESPN. “There were a couple routes I had to run a couple times because he’s a timing thrower, and he throws it to spots. But we’ll get there. When we get there Monday, we’ll go two or three times a week and work on that as well. I was eager. It was great to work with him and get to know him.”
Pryor added that the two spent two hours talking football in Cousins’s hotel room, and the two have already begun discussing what works for them on the field with regards to timing and routes.
“He’ll take that info in and say, ‘I really like that,'” Pryor said. “That’s how I knew me and him would click. We’re going to do well.”
Pryor will certainly be hoping for that, as he’s on something of a “prove it” deal with Washington. If the two click and Pryor has a big season, he’ll be in line for a very nice payday.
