Texans fans chanted ‘We want Weeden’ during wild card loss
Brian Hoyer had the worst game of his career at the worst time and Texans fans were, understandably, fed up with his performance.
During the Texans’ 30-0 loss to the Chiefs on Saturday, Hoyer threw four interceptions and lost a fumble. Four of those turnovers came in the first half. He finished the game with a quarterback rating of 15.9, the lowest of his career.
Based on all of that, it’s not surprising Texans fans were hoping for a change at quarterback. Houston’s back up quarterback was Brandon Weeden and, well, that’s who they wanted to see.

“We want Weeden” is the saddest chant in NFL playoff history.

Weeden was winless in three starts with the Cowboys earlier this season and was released in November. He was then signed by the Texans and appeared in two games, winning his only start, a 34-6 victory over the Titans. Weeden completed 15-of-24 passes that day for 200 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions.
After the game, Bill O’Brien said he did not consider switching quarterbacks. So, no matter how much Texans fans wanted to see Brandon Weeden under center, they weren’t going to.
