Timmy Jernigan made his first snowman, was late to Ravens team meeting
Baltimore Ravens rookie Timmy Jernigan saw snow for the first time earlier this week. Experiencing snow for the first time is an amazing experience, but is it a valid excuse to be late for work?
We’ll soon find out. According to Jon Meoli of The Baltimore Sun, Jernigan was making a snowman after practice on Wednesday when a team official called him at 3:35 to remind him that the Ravens were having a defensive meeting at 3:30. The former Florida State star said he thought the meeting was at 4:00.
Jernigan grew up in Florida, so you can understand why he was mesmerized.
“It’s different,” the 22-year-old told the Ravens official website. “It freaked me out this morning. Yesterday, it was warm outside. [Today] woke up, drove my car to practice, can’t even drive it home.”
We all know how Bill Belichick would react if one of his players was late because he was making a snowman. Perhaps John Harbaugh won’t be as cold-hearted.
