Titans GM says team would demand ‘king’s ransom’ for top pick

There have been whispers that the Tennessee Titans may shop the first overall pick in April’s NFL Draft, but their general manager says it would take a serious offer to get them to move it.

General manager Jon Robinson, appearing at local radio station 104.5 The Zone’s annual Sportsfest, said that the team isn’t opposed to moving the pick, but would have to be given very good reason to do it.

“There is a group of players that are at the top of the draft, that, you don’t want to move back too far cause you can miss out on one of those guys, and if you do move back that far you want to make sure that you have a king’s ransom, for lack of a better term, to move that far,” Robinson said, via ESPN’s Paul Kuharsky. “I would say that for us to move out of that pick, it’s going to take a substantial amount of picks to do that.”

Robinson has previously said the Titans would consider any and all offers for that pick, but this is the closest we’ve come to getting a price tag on it. Perhaps Tennessee is searching for an offer like this one, although it’s probably not coming.
