Man sues Titans players, claims he was knocked out by one

Tajae Sharpe

A man is suing two Tennessee Titans player, claiming he was beat up by one outside a bar while the other served as a lookout.

FOX 17 in Nashville shares details about the suit. The alleged victim, Dante Satterfield, claims he was out at Tin Roof in Nashville on April 28 while the NFL Draft was going on. Satterfield allegedly told Titans wide receiver Tajae Sharpe that the team’s selection of Corey Davis in the first round meant Sharpe was going to lose playing time.

In his suit, Satterfield says Sharpe and another Titans player, OL Sebastian Tretola, told Satterfield to go outside with them. Sharpe then allegedly beat Satterfield up and knocked him unconscious while Tretola stood as a lookout.

The lawsuit claims that Satterfield “suffered a concussion, broken bones in the face, massive facial bruising, a perforated eardrum, among other injuries.”

Sharpe’s agent says the lawsuit is a shakedown.

“The claims are false and ridiculous,” Sharpe’s agent told FOX 17. “Unfortunately this is a classic shakedown attempt. Tajae categorically denies any involvement whatsoever and looks forward to vindicating his name and focusing on what matters most – football.”

Sharpe caught 41 passes for 522 yards and two touchdowns last season as a rookie. The victim is seeking $500,000 in damages.
