When you parents tuck your kids in at night, I’m sure you have wishes for them to be outstanding people when they grow up. You want them to have the honesty of Lincoln, the work ethic of Ripken, the knowledge of Einstein. Probably not on that list of role models is Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens. Amazingly enough, T.O. would like to change that. While guesting for NFL Network, he reflected upon last year:

I’ve had a chance to just sit back and think about a lot of things. I’m just trying to be a role model for once and just be a team player. Obviously with all the distractions last year, some of them were really senseless. Other than that, that’s part of football. Throughout it all, I feel like I’ve gained a bit of knowledge and changed a little.

OK, I just want to know when Marvin Harrison climbed in and took over T.O.’s body. Role model, team player, knowledge, change, all in the same paragraph for Owens? What the heck’s gotten into him? And if that’s the case, why did he have so many problems with clubs in the off-season? The honeymoon with Phillips has to end soon. By goodness, I can’t bare the thought of T.O. as a good citizen.

If role model means psychotic, insecure clownboot, then I believe him.

I dont know why, but I do.
