Tom Brady wears ‘5’ shirt, throws out Red Sox first pitch

Tom-Brady-5-shirt

Tom Brady threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Boston Red Sox home opener on Monday afternoon, and the shirt he wore when he walked onto the field has football fans buzzing.

Brady, who fancies himself a fashionista and always has a calculated look, wore a T-shirt that had a huge No. 5 on it. What did it mean?

Some have speculated that Brady was letting fans know he is not done chasing championships and wants to bring the city a fifth Super Bowl ring. That would make some sense given that he carried out one Lombardi trophy at Fenway Park and Bill Belichick, Robert Kraft and Jonathan Kraft were holding the other three. However, “5” could also be some trendy fashion company that we haven’t heard of.

As for the first pitch, Brady tried to bring the heat and was bailed out by David Ortiz.

If Brady was sending a message about winning a fifth ring, he better call Darrelle Revis. We know how the All-Pro corner feels about the Patriots’ chances of winning without him.
