Tom Brady’s latest appeal of four-game suspension denied

Tom-Brady

Tom Brady has just one option left if he hopes to be able to play in the first four games of the 2016 season — the Supreme Court.

The Second U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday denied Brady’s request for a rehearing, which would have given the New England Patriots quarterback an avenue to have his suspension overturned again.

Brady’s lawyers will likely now appeal to the Supreme Court, but the chances of the case being heard at that level are incredibly low.

What does that mean? While some of you may have forgotten about Deflategate by now, it’s looking like Brady will be suspended through Week 4 for his alleged role in it. With the four-time Super Bowl champion set to turn 39 in a few weeks, you have to wonder if playing four less games will keep his body more fresh.

Brady, one of the greatest winners of our generation, has now struck out twice this offseason. First he failed to help recruit a star athlete to another team, and now his appeal has been denied. Jimmy Garoppolo is in line to start the first four games of the season for the Patriots.
