Tom Brady on Deflategate: ‘This isn’t ISIS, no one’s dying’

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady made an ISIS reference on Thursday when answering questions about the Deflategate scandal.

Brady, who has been criticized for not coming across as all that convincing while he denied knowing anything about footballs losing air pressure, was asked if he has received support from friends and family while his team has come under fire. Brady explained that he has gotten some texts and calls but has been trying to tell people that there are worse things in life.

“We’re gonna be fine,” Brady said. “This isn’t ISIS. This isn’t, you know, nobody’s dying.”

Naturally, people like Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk are extremely bent out of shape over Brady comparing a game like football to a serious world affair.

While Brady probably wishes he could have that comment back, his intent wasn’t to joke about ISIS or anything that is going on in the Middle East. He was simply saying that he has explained to those close to him that they don’t need to be overly concerned.

Mark Brunell may be very emotional over the fact that he doesn’t believe Brady, but life will eventually go on.
