Tom Brady leaves Patriots practice with possible knee injury (Video)

Tom-Brady-knee-injuryNew England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady left practice on Wednesday with an apparent lower left leg injury that many are speculating could be his knee. Brady went down on a play during the Patriots’ joint practice with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and appeared to grab his left leg.

According to various Patriots beat writers, the 36-year-old walked off the field gingerly before returning for about three more plays. He then reportedly consulted with Bill Belichick and head trainer Jim Whalen before walking off the field under his own power.

As you can see from the video above that Twitter user @ChadKopcak passed along, it appeared that Brady was rolled up on after one of his offensive lineman was pushed back by a Bucs player. The knee he seemed concerned about was the same one he injured in 2008.

The good news is Brady did not feel the injury was serious enough that he couldn’t retake the field right after it happened. The bad news is he left practice anyway, albeit under his own power. Patriots fans will continue to hold their collective breath given all the drama that has surrounded the team this offseason (we’re looking at you Aaron Hernandez), but don’t expect any detailed information on the injury from Belichick or anyone else.
