Tom Brady, Rory McIlroy to play round at Augusta National

The greatest golfer on the planet and the greatest quarterback on the planet are planning to play a round of golf together at the greatest course on the planet.

According to Todd Lewis of the Golf Channel, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will be joining Rory McIlroy for 18 holes at Augusta National next week. McIlroy will be looking to tune up his game roughly one month before the Masters, while Brady’s goal will likely be to own life a little bit more.

Brady is actually an avid golfer and has been around the sport for a long time, as we learned when we saw his old resume. He’s an 8-handicap, which is very impressive for someone who spends most of his time playing football.

I’m sure Brady will just look to enjoy himself at our nation’s most storied golf course, but we are all going to be thinking the same thing — can he beat Peyton Manning’s Augusta National score? I wouldn’t bet against it.
