Tom Brady thumb injury appears to be very minor
Tom Brady returned to practice on Tuesday after missing the previous two days to tend to a personal matter. The last time he was seen at the New England Patriots’ facility was on Thursday, when he missed his team’s preseason game after he cut his thumb with scissors.
While the extent of the injury was unknown at the time, it’s probably now safe to say it won’t prevent the 39-year-old from being ready when he returns from suspension in Week 5.
For those breaking down the shot of Brady's thumb, this one is a little clearer. Good stuff from our guy @nhshooter. pic.twitter.com/fAaNwyFLtW

I think he’ll live.
When the mishap occurred, Brady said he yelled out a word he “wouldn’t repeat in front of my kids.”
“I was ready to go, had everything on, and I was just trying to get something out of my shoe,” he said, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss. “The scissors slipped. Just a silly accident.
“It’s a crappy way to not be out there, because it’s a silly mistake. I’m glad it wasn’t in the regular season. I learned from it and hopefully won’t be operating any more scissors for a while.”
The Patriots aren’t taking any chances with Brady. Not only that, but they want to make sure Jimmy Garoppolo is as prepared as he can be to lead the team in the first four weeks of the season. New England has already had multiple injury scares (they can’t lose this guy) during training camp, but it seems safe to say Brady will be just fine.
