He hadn’t left much doubt in the first place, but Tom Brady confirmed this week that he will be back next season.
In a pregame interview with Jim Gray for Westwood One, Brady said he will be back for the 2018 season no matter what happens in Super Bowl LII.
“Yeah, you’re gonna see me playing football next year,” Brady said. “I don’t envision not playing. You’re at the end of the race but you’ve got your biggest mountain to climb right at the end. Hopefully all the lessons we’ve learned have allowed us to be at our very best for this moment and that’s what it’s going to take and that’s what we’re prepared for and that’s what I go out and expect our team to do.”
There had been some talk that Brady may choose to make a dramatic exit if he won the Super Bowl on Sunday night. Those reports never made a lot of sense, and Brady has more or less confirmed that.
