Tom Brady to work out with Randy Moss, Wes Welker during suspension?

Tom-Brady

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is not allowed to practice or work out with any of his current teammates and coaches during his four-game suspension, so he may call on some of his former favorite targets to help him stay in shape.

During a recent appearance on “NESN Sports Today,” former Patriots running back Kevin Faulk speculated that Brady will reach out to Randy Moss and Wes Welker during the first month of the season.

“He’s definitely going to work,” Faulk said. “There’s no doubt in my mind. He’s probably going to do the same regimen he’s been doing for the last how many years he’s been playing football, stay in that routine, and yes, I’m almost positive Wes Welker is going to be here. He probably will reach out to Randy (Moss), and Randy will come because Randy’s in still good shape. Real good shape.”

Moss and Welker have both supposedly remained in great shape and were part of the 2007 Patriots team that shattered just about every offensive record in NFL history.

Even if Brady comes back a bit rusty in Week 5, it’s safe to say Jimmy Garoppolo is not stealing his starting job. We know that because Bill Belichick gave us one of the most classic reactions ever (video here) when asked about it recently. If Brady thinks Moss and Welker can help him stay on his game, he won’t hesitate to reach out.
