Tre Mason spotted, says he is not reporting to Rams training camp

Tre Mason

A news station found Tre Mason this week, and the running back appears no closer to returning to his NFL team.

WPBF in Florida tracked down Mason at his mother’s home in Lake Worth, Fla., this week. Mason was seen driving his Maserati up the driveway. A neighbor also reported that the trouble running back was doing drills in the front yard of the home on Wednesday.

When asked if he would be reporting to Rams training camp in Los Angeles, Mason shouted “no.” The Rams have not heard from Mason in seven months.

Mason was drafted by the Rams in the third round of the 2014 draft out of Auburn, where he was a Heisman Trophy contender. He rushed for 765 yards and scored five touchdowns as a rookie. Last season he was supplanted as the team’s starter by Todd Gurley and he only rushed for 207 yards on 75 carries.

According to Mason Deputies have been called to the home five times in the past four months. That includes an infamous incident late last month where Mason was making statements about the White House and Al Qaeda.
