Tre’Davious White says Rob Gronkowski never apologized to him

Rob Gronkowski dirty

What Rob Gronkowski did to Bills defensive back Tre’Davious White in Week 13 was uncalled for no matter how you look at it, but apparently the Patriots tight end did not see any need to apologize to the man he left concussed.

In an appearance on PFT Live Friday, White was asked if he has spoken with Gronkowski since Gronk drove his arm into the back of White’s head three weeks away. While Gronk expressed regret publicly, White says No. 87 has not apologized to him but that he is not dwelling on the incident.

“I’ll just line up and play football,” White said.

White said earlier in the week that he does not believe Gronkowski is a dirty player, but that hasn’t changed his opinion on the cheap shot Gronk threw at him.

“It was disgusting,” White said. “It was bad to watch. But I’m past it and I’m just looking forward to competing again with him on Sunday.”

Gronkowski slammed his arm into White’s head when White was laying face down on the turf after a play was blown dead. It was obvious Gronk was frustrated because he felt White held him on the play, but his actions resulted in a one-game suspension. While White made it clear he was angry with the league over the disciplinary action, he insists he has moved past it.

Former NFL safety Ryan Clark said White texted him after Week 13 saying the “whole hood” wants to get revenge against Gronk, so the officials will likely be instructed to keep a close eye on things during Sunday’s game.
