Trent Richardson waived by Colts
Trent Richardson was waived by the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday and is now one step closer to being out of the league.
The No. 3 overall pick in the 2012 draft was traded by the Cleveland Browns to the Colts after two games in the 2013 season for a first-round pick. Richardson was unproductive with Indy and by the end of last season he had fallen so low on the depth chart he became a healthy scratch for some of their games.
Richardson is due nearly $3.2 million next season from Indy, but the two sides are in a dispute over that money. We have a feeling that those will be the last millions he earns in the league.
T-Rich only averaged 3.3 yards per carry last season and hasn’t topped more than 3.6 ypc during his career. He’ll be lucky to be on a roster next season.
And it what is looking like one of the biggest wastes of a trade in recent memory, the Browns drafted Johnny Manziel with the pick they got from Indy.
