Twitter reacts to Joe Flacco blowing easy TD opportunity
Joe Flacco has never been the most beloved quarterback in the world, but the Baltimore Ravens veteran did himself no favors on Sunday.
Flacco looked to have an easy touchdown on 3rd and goal from the five against the Pittsburgh Steelers, with Lamar Jackson wide open and heading for the end zone. Flacco somehow didn’t see his open receiver and ended up throwing the ball away instead.

The Raven veteran immediately earned the derision of Twitter for his error.
Flacco misses an easy TD with no one covering Lamar Jackson. 11 seasons and this franchise QB still predetermines where he’s going to throw presnap.

Flacco had Lamar Jackson wide open on that 3rd-and-goal from the 5. Didn't even look at him. Instead throws it through back of end zone.

Everybody in stadium saw Jackson opened on last play except Flacco.

On third and goal, Joe Flacco throws the ball into the back of the end zone and doesn't see Lamar Jackson wide open on the right side. The entire stadium saw it as a loud gasp could be heard.

Man Lamar Jackson was wide open and Flacco didn’t even look his way. I’m striving to be that petty https://t.co/kNy5tVM6dV

Wonder if Tom Brady ignores Jimmy Garoppolo if the Patriots ever ran a play like this. Not very elite awareness from Flacco here pic.twitter.com/QWOaRDZniV

Nice bit of symbolism there from Flacco – not ready to pass the torch to Lamar Jackson so he opted not to pass him a touchdown

The Ravens had to settle for a field goal and immediately fell behind on the next drive when Pittsburgh scored a touchdown.
The last time these two teams met, Flacco upset the Steelers with some comments about the points he felt his offense left on the field. Maybe that’ll be true again, but Flacco will be the one leaving them there.
