T.Y. Hilton rips Colts after loss to Texans: ‘We laid down’
The Indianapolis Colts saw their playoff hopes take a huge hit Sunday in a 22-17 loss to Houston, and one player was blunt about how the team performed.
Wide receiver T.Y. Hilton called out his team, essentially saying that they rolled over and blew the game.
“We laid down. It’s that simple,” Hilton said, via Mike Wells of ESPN. “Guys didn’t make plays that were supposed to make plays.”
Hilton grabbed nine catches for a total of 115 yards, but the other receivers didn’t do nearly as much, and there were a few bad drops involved.
The Colts wide receiver can be fairly outspoken with his criticism when he feels like it, and it’s no surprise that there’s some frustration boiling over after such a mediocre performance in a huge divisional game.
