Tyler Eifert unsure if he will be ready for training camp
Tyler Eifert says he is not sure if he will be ready in time for the start of training camp.
The oft-injured Cincinnati Bengals tight end is recovery from back surgery and says he feels good, but he’s not sure if he’ll be ready for camp.
“I don’t know,” Eifert told ESPN’s Katherine Terrell about his status for training camp. “I’ll have to see how I’m feeling and go from there.”
Eifert missed last offseason and the first six games of the 2016 season as he recovered from an ankle injury. He then went on IR and missed the last two games of the season because of his back.
Eifert, a 2013 first-round pick by the Bengals, has missed nearly half of his team’s games since entering the league. He is a key weapon when healthy as he has 20 touchdown catches in 37 career regular season games.
