Tyrod Taylor to remain Bills’ starting QB

Tyrod-Taylor

The Buffalo Bills’ playoff hopes are quickly fading after a Week 14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday, but they aren’t making any changes under center.

Bills head coach Rex Ryan told reporters on Monday that Tyrod Taylor will remain the team’s starting quarterback because he gives the team the best chance to win, per Chris Wesseling of NFL.com.

Taylor threw for 228 yards and two touchdowns in the defeat to Pittsburgh, his first 200-plus yard game since Week 10 and his first multi-touchdown game since Week 6. He holds season totals of 2,520 passing yards, 13 touchdowns, and six interceptions, which hasn’t really inspired much confidence from the team.

The former Pro Bowler probably shouldn’t have too much trouble in Week 15 against the winless and hapless Cleveland Browns. But if/when the postseason is no longer a possibility for the 6-7 Bills, perhaps they might throw a bone to EJ Manuel or look to see what they have in rookie Cardale Jones.
