Tyrod Taylor buys 65-inch TVs for Bills offensive linemen

Tyrod-Taylor-TVs

Tyrod Taylor has cemented himself as a viable starting quarterback this season, and he clearly isn’t overlooking the people who helped him reach that point.

On Tuesday, each of the Buffalo Bills’ offensive linemen walked into the locker room to find a brand new 65-inch ultra-HD Samsung television set sitting in front of his locker.

“Nice gesture by Tyrod,” Bills center Eric Wood told reporters, via Mike Rodak of ESPN.com. “It kind of just reinforces what I feel about him, that he just gets it, man. He understands the game, he understands being a quarterback, he understands his role with us and really nice gesture of him.”

As Rodak notes, Taylor probably spent around $12,000 on the Christmas gifts, which retail at around $1,600 each. While the 26-year-old can certainly afford it, his $750,000 salary this season was nothing compared to what other starting quarterbacks make. Taylor got his linemen a similar gift to the ones this highly-paid star QB got his linemen last Christmas, which says a lot.

Rex Ryan has already said Taylor will be his starting quarterback next season. With a passer rating of 101.8 and a 6-6 record in 12 games this season, the former Virginia Tech star has earned it.
