Vin Scully was at Dodger Stadium for Game 5 of the NLCS as a spectator and provided a moment those on hand thoroughly enjoyed.

The Dodgers returned home for a pivotal game in their series against the Cubs on Thursday. Prior to the game, former players Eric Karros and Steve Garvey had the honor of throwing out the ceremonial first pitches. After doing so, they acknowledged Scully, who was in a suite. The legendary broadcaster, with microphone in hand, proceeded to make his traditional introduction to Dodgers games, “It’s time for Dodger baseball.”

Not surprisingly, Scully received an ovation and even a tip of the cap from Los Angeles manager Dave Roberts. Scully has become synonymous with the Dodgers, having called games for an incredible 67 seasons. There will never be another one quite like him and he will always be greeted with open arms whenever he makes his way back to Dodger Stadium.
