The Green Bay Press Gazette says the Packers are bringing in the former two-time Pro Bowler in for a workout. The paper adds that Young was spotted at the airport on Sunday night.
Young has not played in the NFL since 2011. He was in camp with the Buffalo Bills last year before being cut by the team. In his most recent NFL action as a backup quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, Young struggled as Michael Vick’s replacement. He went 1-2 in three starts and threw for four touchdowns and nine interceptions.
The Packers currently have Graham Harrell and B.J. Coleman fighting for the team’s backup quarterback job, so it’s possible that Young could get a decent look.
