Von Miller, Broncos reportedly closing in on deal
The Denver Broncos are running out of time to work out a long-term contract extension with Von Miller, but things are trending in the right direction.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Broncos and Miller are “closing in on a deal” with Friday afternoon’s franchise tag deadline looming.

As Rapoport reported previously, the Broncos have upped their offer to more than $70 million guaranteed. That amount would be a record for a defensive player.
Miller, the reigning Super Bowl MVP, has been adamant about wanting to be the highest-paid defensive player in the league. We already know how he feels about the franchise tag, so it’s no surprise the Broncos are starting to cave to his demands.
