Von Miller: ‘No chance’ I play under franchise tag in 2016

Von Miller

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller has vowed to not play the 2016 season under the one-year franchise tag.

In an Instagram post he shared on Thursday, Miller sent a very clear message to the organization.

“I love my Teammates, Coaches, and My Fans but there is ‘No Chance’ I play the 2016 season under the Franchise tag,” Miller wrote.

Miller has made it very clear that he wants a long-term contract extension before the July 15 deadline, but he said in a recent interview that he is not going to sit out the upcoming season. If Miller is not going to sit out and is not going to play under a one-year deal, he must be confident he can come to an agreement with the team.

The Broncos have reportedly pulled their latest offer to Miller, which was said to be much less than he is seeking. Miller’s decision to crop John Elway out of this photo sparked rumors that the reigning Super Bowl MVP is unhappy. The Instagram post reinforces that.
