Burfict is one of the most controversial players in football, as he has been suspended and fined numerous times for illegal hits on opposing players. He was able to avoid a second suspension last season when he was ejected and made contact with an official.
Burfict, 27, had 69 combined tackles and a forced fumble in 10 games last season. The Bengals have continued to stand by him despite his poor reputation.
