Yannick Ngakoue says he spoke to Richie Incognito about slur allegations
Jacksonville Jaguars defensive lineman Yannick Ngakoue accused Buffalo’s Richie Incognito of using a racial slur during their AFC playoff game, but the two have apparently cleared the air.
According to Michael DiRocco of ESPN, Ngakoue and Incognito spoke at Pro Bowl practice and settled the accusations. Ngakoue declined to discuss any specifics of what was said, but did confirm that the two spoke about the incident.
Despite the conversation, an NFL investigation into Ngakoue’s allegations is ongoing, though there have been some unconfirmed reports that punishment is unlikely.
Ngakoue used Twitter to accuse Incognito of using racial slurs after the Jaguars’ wild-card victory over the Bills. Buffalo has downplayed the allegations, with GM Brandon Beane labeling them as a “misunderstanding.”
