Bubba Watson defended Rickie Fowler against heckler (Video)
Rickie Fowler did not have his best round on the first day of the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village on Friday, carding a 75 on a day where many other players shot low scores. That doesn’t mean Bubba Watson was going to stand by and watch a fan heckle his playing partner.
Fowler missed a short par putt on the final hole, and a spectator yelled something offensive. We couldn’t make out what it was, but it was enough to draw a dirty look from Fowler and inspire Watson to shout in the direction where it came from.
“Who said it?” Watson asked while marching toward the gallery. “Not so tough now, are you?”

Watson has been heavily criticized for his temper on the course, but it’s tough to fault him for sticking up for his friend in that situation.
