Tiger Woods once asked Michael Jordan, Derek Jeter how to talk to women

Tiger-Woods-dancing

Tiger Woods has been with many woman. We know this because of the way his marriage fell apart and his life changed completely back in 2009. However, that does not mean the 14-time major champion is smooth when it comes to talking to the ladies.

ESPN’s Wright Thompson published an incredible feature on Woods’ life on Thursday. The entire thing is worth reading, as it provides an inside look at the life of Tiger that has never before been seen. While a lot of the piece is serious in nature and deals with how Tiger’s life came unraveled after his father passed away, there was one entertaining tidbit about a time he was out with Michael Jordan and Derek Jeter and asked them for some advice.

The sexual bravado hid his awkwardness around women. One night he went to a club in New York with Derek Jeter and Michael Jordan. Jeter and Jordan circulated, talking with ease to one beautiful woman after another. (Both declined to comment about the episode.) At one point, Tiger walked up to them and asked the question that lives in the heart of every junior high boy and nearly every grown man too.

“What do you do to talk to girls?”

Jeter and Jordan looked at each other, then back at Tiger, sort of stunned.

“Go tell ’em you’re Tiger Woods,” they said.

Again, the full feature is incredibly fascinating. Woods is painted as someone who was seeking more out of his affairs than just sex. We already knew he had that awkward high school boy thing going on when we read these text messages, but Thompson get into much more than that. Go read the story.
