Tiger Woods’ back has ‘worsened,’ career sounds in jeopardy
Tiger Woods has not appeared in a PGA tournament since August, and the latest news about his rehab from back surgery has raised serious questions about whether we will ever see the 14-time major champion on the course again.
Woods revealed in December that he has had three surgeries on his back and the pain has been excruciating at times. According to golf reporter Robert Lusetich, Tiger has gotten worse since the latest procedure.
I'm told #TigerWoods condition worsened. He can't move well; painful to sit. Sits in car with seat fully reclined. No forseeable return. Sad

About 90-95% of microdiscectomies – like #Tiger had – are successful.
He got unlucky.
Not to say career's over, but no imminent return.

Whether you like Tiger or not, that is somber news for the sport of golf. It has been a long time since we saw the Tiger of old show up at a major tournament, and we may not ever see it again. However, Woods’ agent Mark Steinberg ripped Lusetich’s report:
“The tweets that appeared this weekend about Tiger’s health are ridiculous and absolutely false,” Steinberg said in a statement, per Paul Pabst. “It’s reprehensible that every few months someone makes something up and it’s treated like a real story. Tiger continues to work on his rehabilitation and we will have an accurate update at the appropriate time.”
Prior to Woods taking a break from golf last year, people were cracking jokes at his expense and poking fun at how poorly he has aged. Knowing how badly the 40-year-old wanted to break Jack Nicklaus’ record of 18 major wins, we can only imagine how disappointed he must be.
