Watch: Phil Mickelson hits terrifying flop shot over fan
Phil Mickelson is a master with his wedges who has pulled off some incredible trick shots over the years, and one fan trusts the golf Hall of Famer so much that he was willing to put his nose on the line — literally.
At a practice event ahead of The Open Championship on Tuesday, Mickelson had a fan stand no more than two feet in front of him and somehow flopped a shot right over the guy’s head.

Phil may be 48, but he’s clearly still got it. There are plenty of Mickelson fans who would not be as brave as the gentleman you see above, though his faith in “Lefty” was rewarded. Apparently he wasn’t concerned about some of the risks Mickelson has taken in the past that haven’t gone so smoothly.
