Dwyane Wade’s ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches thinks judge is too star-struck

Dwyane Wade Siohvaughn FunchesDwyane Wade’s ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches loves a good courtroom battle, and it sounds like she has found something new to complain about in her ongoing divorce settlement hearings with the Miami Heat star. According to court documents obtained by Gossip Extra, Funches believes the judge overseeing the proceedings is too star-struck by Wade to be objective.

Funches asked in a recent motion that Family Court Judge George Sarduy step down from the case. One judge has already had to step down from the case, but Sarduy refused.

Funches listed several reasons for wanting Sarduy to step down. She was denied a request for an emergency meeting on June 22 and claims she lost two weeks with the couple’s children because Sarduy accommodated Wade’s travel plans. She also said Sarduy “seemed intentive and argued in favor of Wade” during Wade’s testimony at a July 3 hearing.

In addition, Funches even pointed to an instance where Sarduy allegedly introduced his wife to the court “as Wade looked on.” Funches’ attorney claims Sarduy had never called attention to his wife in a courtroom before.

“The court treated (Funches) not as if she were the mother of the children but almost as if she were an insignificant Heat groupie,” the motion read.

Sarduy denies that he has been anything but impartial.

“The trial court … has been and will continue to be fair and impartial,” his order read. “The court harbors no ill will towards either party.”

Wade and Funches have been battling in court for years. Funches has sued the police department and acted homeless in the streets of Chicago along the way. She is the definition of a loose cannon.
