Rory McIlroy remains silent on Caroline Wozniacki breakup rumors
Rory McIlroy is apparently done addressing rumors about his relationship with Caroline Wozniacki. Over the weekend, yet another report surfaced claiming McIlroy had dumped the tennis star. His alleged reason for calling things off this time was nothing short of priceless.
Wozniacki told a Danish newspaper on Monday that she has grown tired of baseless rumors and intends to keep her private life private from now on. McIlroy was asked about the report on Tuesday, and he had a similar reaction.
“My private life is private,” he told the media in advance of the OneAsia Tour’s Kolon Korea Open, via the Golf Channel, “and I’d like to keep it that way.”
While skeptics will point to the fact that Rory did not deny the breakup, it would seem the young couple has decided to change the way they do things. Since McIlroy and Wozniacki began dating, they have not exactly been shy about sharing details of their relationship. They have worn corny T-shirts together on Christmas and exchanged gifts that are enough to make you want to puke. Heck, the two even smooched in front of the entire Yale football team.
Rory has denied rumors of a split in the past, and that obviously didn’t help. We’re not completely ruling out the possibility that the two have ended things, but we don’t blame them for growing tired of talking about it.
