One of the first high school football games of the 2013 season brought us one of the most incredible endings you will ever see on Friday night. Two Texas schools, Copperas Cove and A&M Consolidated, played down to the wire until the game was decided with literally one second remaining in regulation.
Copperas Cove kicked a field goal to take the lead with just a tick left on the clock in the fourth quarter. Had the scoreboard operator touched the button to stop the clock a second later, the Bulldawgs would have won. Instead, they had to kick the ball back to A&M Consolidated. Naturally, they went with a squib kick.
And then a miracle happened. With a couple of huge blocks, a lateral and some incredible east-to-west running, A&M Consolidated took the squib for a touchdown and won 44-41. Between the ending of the century and the incredible touchdown run we saw from a Michigan recruit last week, the 2013 season is off to a remarkable start.
