Alex Ovechkin went to bed with the Stanley Cup
Alexander Ovechkin came up short for many years before finally winning his first championship, and there’s no telling when the Washington Capitals star will let the Stanley Cup out of his sight.
Ovechkin and his teammates had themselves quite a day with the Cup on Saturday, as they brought it to Nationals Park and took part in the ceremonial first pitch. After a long day of partying and doing keg stands out of Lord Stanley’s Cup, Ovechkin went to bed with the trophy.

From the look of it, Ovechkin chose to snuggle with the cup over his beautiful wife Nastya. Hopefully he made room for her after snapping the photo, but we wouldn’t bet on it.
The only thing we can really criticize Ovechkin for these days is tossing out one of the worst first pitches you will ever see, but he even found a way to make that right. It’s a great time to be Ovi.
