Jay Beagle Loses Fight with Arron Asham, Pulls Out Tooth (Video)

Washington Capitals center Jay Beagle picked the wrong dude to fight Thursday night. Beagle, an inexperienced fighter, ended up fighting Penguins winger Arron Asham. Asham dropped Beagle with one devastating punch that left the Caps center bloodied. Here is a video of the fight:

Beagle really didn’t have a choice in the matter; Asham approached him after Beagle got into it with Kris Letang. He tried his best, but he really was no match for Asham despite connecting with a few punches early. I’m sure his teammates appreciate the effort.

UPDATE: Asham apologized for taunting after the fight. He admitted his go to sleep gesture was classless.

What is the toll free number for the Red Cross that is posted on the side board?.

looks like the face shield did most of the damage; Asham collapsed it with a forearm to the face..drop the gloves and lead with your slash guard…weak.

@sundevils2, forearm? really? watch it on you youtube where it shows it from another angle. I don’t think his “slash guard” had anything to do with getting knocked out or loosing a tooth… Bleeding, maybe…. maybe.

i would like to see the rematch in a more controlled rink, a six sided rink, bring it to the mma, then and only then will a true winner be declared!

leave it to someone like you to say something completely irrelevant. Idiot and MMA sucks they roll around on the floor and grab each others balls and sniff ass!

Simple case of someone being extra tuff against a smaller guy (untill someone his size comes along). Ironic how the Caps can cry about there bully getting beat up, but they still haven’t even admitted that the hit to Crosby (while away from the puck in the Nutrual zone) was the lowest of lows.

In football and basketball, if they fight, they are labeled thugs. But it’s very much accepted in good ol North American hockey. Double standards.
