Jordan Subban knocked out his front tooth on a hotel door

Jordan-Subban-tooth

Vancouver Canucks defenseman Jordan Subban, the younger brother of Montreal Canadiens star PK Subban, had one of his front teeth knocked out on Monday night. Typical hockey injury, right? Not quite.

Subban did not take a puck or a punch to the face. The 19-year-old lost a fight with his hotel room door. He described what happened in detail through the Canucks official website, even tossing in a great “Dumb & Dumber” reference.

After we got back to the hotel last night, I was in my room just hanging out when I heard some of the boys in the hallway. I poked my head out the door to see where they were headed, they said to eat and I had already had a bite, so I turned to go back into my room.

BAM.

I don’t know what the heck happened, but next thing I knew half my front tooth was on the floor and there was a hole in the door. So now I look like Lloyd Christmas from Dumb & Dumber. Great.

Hockey players lose teeth all the time. Sometimes they even end up having to pull out their own teeth. But knocking out your own tooth by walking into a door is a bit more rare. Thankfully, Subban’s new look is nothing out of the ordinary for his line of work.
