Justin Williams scores game-winning goal in OT (Video)

Kings Justin WilliamsThe Los Angeles Kings beat the New York Rangers 3-2 in overtime of Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals Wednesday on a goal by Justin Williams.

Williams capitalized on a terrible turnover by Rangers defenseman Dan Girardi. Girardi mishandled the puck when he was trying to clear it and it was intercepted by Mike Richards. Richards passed to Williams, who had a clear shot on Henrik Lundqvist and buried it top-shelf to break the 2-2 tie and give the Kings the win.

The Kings had a great chance to score in the final 30 seconds of regulation and barely missed, but Williams didn’t this time as they got the victory.
