I work at Sporting News Radio in Los Angeles and I’m one of the update guys you hear giving scores and sports news every 20 minutes. Before coming to Sporting News, I worked at Fox Sports Radio in LA for just over five years, doing everything from anchoring updates, to producing shows, and editing sound.

I got started at Fox as an intern the summer between my freshman and sophomore years at UCLA. Rather than go to class, I spent most of my time managing the sports department of the student radio station (KLA) where I hosted a sports talk show and called games for UCLA football, basketball, and baseball. I even dabbled in TV at the student station, Bruinnews29, for a quarter or two. After four relatively fun and pain-free years, I graduated in ‘05 with a degree in Communication Studies. Luckily about 75% of my classmates in the major were hot chicks so I was able to stay focused.

Some of you might know me as the guy who used to fill in for J-Stew and T-Rodge on the world famous Jim Rome Show. You may also have seen my work at AOL Sports’ FanHouse, where I covered baseball and football, and served as the site’s NFL handicapper. In the ‘07 season, I also worked as a writer and research for MLB.tv which is part of MLB.com. And while I was at UCLA, I spent a year working for the Dodgers P.R. department. They haven’t won a playoff game since I left.

Many thanks goes out to all the blogs for the links. Special thanks to all the radio personalities who have pumped the site, including Chris Plank, John Fricke, Jim Rome, Andrew Siciliano, JT the Brick, Denny Hocking, Ben Maller, Jorge Sedano, Tomm Looney, Tim Montemayor, and Chris Moore. And thanks to the following people for helping to get the site some love on ESPN2’s Cold Pizza: Ben Maller, Ryan Wilson, Jamie Mottram, and Kissing Suzy Kolber.
