Britt McHenry feels ESPN slighted her during boyfriend’s tennis match

Britt McHenry was at the US Open this week to cheer on her boyfriend Tennys Sandgren, and she apparently does not think she got the recognition she deserved from her former employee.

McHenry was shown during ESPN’s broadcast of Sandgren’s second-round loss to Novak Djokovic, and the crew covering the game did not refer to her by name. While it’s certainly possible they simply didn’t know who she was, McHenry thinks it was a calculated snub.

As you may know, McHenry was one of several employees who were laid off from ESPN over the past year or so, and she believes the network cut ties with her because of her conservative viewpoints. She has since carved out a role for herself as a political analyst for FOX and has grown her Twitter following to around 225,000.

Some would argue that McHenry was laid off in part because of her infamous rant against a parking lot attendant, but she doesn’t see it that way. It’s no surprise she believes ESPN’s broadcasters knew who she was.
