Josh Thomson thinks he suffered broken right hand against Benson Henderson
Josh Thomson suffered a broken right hand in his fight against Benson Henderson at UFC on FOX 10 in Chicago on Saturday night.
Thomson won the first two rounds of the fight by most accounts, but he was very hesitant in the third round and hardly threw any punches. UFC commentator Joe Rogan then said that Thomson told his corner between rounds that he broke his right hand. His corner apparently encouraged him to throw kicks instead.
After the third round of the fight, FOX played the video of Thomson telling his corner between the second and third round that his hand was hurting and that he broke it.
It was a tough break (no pun intended) for the former Strikeforce lightweight champion, who struggled to take down Bendo in the third but got a takedown in the fourth.
