Ronda Rousey’s sister Jennifer got married and she couldn’t enjoy it

Ronda RouseyRonda Rousey likes to be completely focused on her upcoming fight as she prepares for an opponent. She does not like distractions and has even tried to curtail her budding movie career while preparing for fights.

Because of her focus, Rousey could not even completely enjoy her sister’s wedding last weekend.

Rousey will face Alexis Davis on Saturday night at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas and try to defend her UFC women’s bantamweight title for the third time since late December. Rousey has been in Vegas for a week because her sister, Jennifer Rousey, conveniently got married there.

Unfortunately, Ronda says her focus wasn’t on her sister’s marriage.

“My sister is getting married, and the whole day I’m going to be thinking about beating Alexis,” Rousey said last week. “Anything that comes up that should make me super-excited, I really do not have the capacity to enjoy until I beat Alexis.”

Despite what she said about only thinking about Alexis, Rousey still found time to make an Instagram post about her sister.

“Congrats to my beautiful big sister and the man lucky enough to be her husband – never had so much fun at a wedding #HawaiianElvisAllDay #MatromonyRouseyStyle,” Rousey wrote on Instagram.

Aapparently she did mix in some fun despite her focus.

Rousey seemed to have a lot going on before her fight with Sara McMann in February, but she still won that fight with an early first-round TKO. It was her first time winning a fight by something other than an armbar, which is a sign that her all-around game is dangerous.

If Rousey is able to win fights even when she has some distractions in camp, imagine what she’ll do against Davis with very few distractions. Shoot, not even Hawaiian Elvis can throw her off her game.
