Tank Abbott offers $100,000 to Ronda Rousey or any woman who can beat him

Tank Abbott

Tank Abbott took the trash talking and bashing of women’s MMA to a whole new level.

The rotund yet muscular fighter ripped all the talk of a woman being able to beat a high-level man in fighting during his podcast last week.

“Don’t think for a New York second that Pretty Boy Floyd would knock the living stuffing out of Ronda Rousey,” Abbott said. “What kind of medical marijuana are people thinking, because I want some of that stuff.

“She’s a girl. It’s all about this emotional stuff.”

Abbott then offered to fight any woman for free saying he would pay $100,000 to any female who beats him in a fight. All they have to do is make him a sandwich if he wins.

Abbott, 50, was one of the original faces of the UFC. He fought in the organization well before many of the present-day rules were established, back when it was more of a free-for-all. A big swinger and brawler, Abbott went 10-15 in his MMA career, even losing to fellow street fighter Kimbo Slice. Though his knockout power made him a big draw, he tended to struggle once he fought more talented fighters such as Vitor Belfort and Frank Mir.

I have said before and still maintain that I think Rousey would beat Mayweather in a fight. Mayweather is obviously a better boxer than Rousey, but MMA allows for all disciplines. All Rousey would have to do is avoid a punch from Mayweather and take him down, and the fight would be over. The chances of her doing that before Floyd catches her with a knockout punch are pretty high.

Miesha Tate may be fuming that she is not getting a third shot at Rousey, but we’re not eager to see her get creamed again. Instead, Rousey vs. Abbott is the fight they need to make after she beats Holly Holm. I can’t wait to see Rousey beat a crap-talking man in the cage. I know she will.
