War Machine wrote suicide note to Christy Mack

War Machine mug shot

War Machine attempted to commit suicide last week in his jail cell in Nevada, but an officer working in the jail was able to save him before he died.

War Machine, real name Jonathan Koppenhaver, even wrote a suicide note to ex-girlfriend Christy Mack, the woman he’s accused of nearly beating to death in a domestic violence incident on Aug. 8.

In the suicide note which was obtained by TMZ, War Machine explains his decision to take his life, saying he felt like a parasite who was not able to live proudly anymore. He expresses regret over walking out on their relationship in May, saying he quickly realized his mistake.

Apparently Mack kept telling him to show his full commitment to her by proposing. He finally had an engagement ring when he went to see her on the fateful night. He also says he regrets flying into a rage and beating up Corey Thomas and then Mack, saying he thinks it would have been best to let Thomas beat him up, because he thinks Mack would have saved him.

“If I could do it all over again I’d just have laid down and let him beat me up. Maybe you still loved me enough to stop him and make him leave,” War Machine writes.

War Machine was still upset with Mack for being with Thomas and says he has forgiven her for that relationship.

“I forgive you, please forgive me, I love you.”

War Machine also has a difficult time accepting his fate. He believes he turned his life around and had good intentions upon visiting Mack at her home.

“It is one thing to catch a case when you set out to commit a crime, but catching a case when you have nothing but good intentions in your heart is just so hard to accept.”

War Machine thinks the charges he faces are trumped up and asserts that he is a “good person with a huge heart.”

He faces 32 felony charges relating to his treatment of Mack throughout their relationship, including most notably the beating in August which led to him becoming a wanted man. War Machine’s attorneys are working on a plea deal.
