Michelle Jenneke is ready for the Olympics

Michelle Jennek

Australian track and field athlete Michelle Jenneke is ready to compete at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.

Jenneke, who went viral in 2012 after the internet got a hold of her bouncing warmup routine, is in Rio to compete in the 100m hurdles for Australia. Five heats will be run in the women’s event on Tuesday. Then there will be the semifinals and finals to determine the medal winners.

Unlike many of her fellow athletes, Jenneke did not arrive in Rio until last week — days after the Games began. Jenneke finished first at the Australian nationals in the 100m hurdles with a time of 12.93.
