Week 12 expert NFL Picks against the spread – Del’s selections

You didn’t expect anything less than a winning week from Del after that abysmal Week 10 performance, did you? Del set out to bounce back in a big way, and an 8-5-1 week against the spread while also hitting the lock of the week accomplished that goal.

Bye weeks are over, which means we have a full slate of 16 games to pick this week. That could mean feast, famine, or somewhere in between, but you all know what we’re hoping for.

The Bengals have lost back-to-back games after starting the season 8-0, and they have to be desperate to get back in the win column. A home date against St. Louis could be just what the doctor ordered. It’s always risky to lay more than a touchdown against a good defense, but the Rams were exposed by the Bears a couple weeks ago and should struggle to defend all of Cincinnati’s offensive weapons. Plus, St. Louis has been forced to start Nick Foles again with Case Keenum dealing with a concussion. Foles, who has just seven touchdowns and six interceptions in nine games this season, was benched for a reason. Look for the Bengals to bounce back in a big way.

Picking Giants games is never easy, but we feel good about Tom Coughlin coming off a bye and a confidence-boosting loss to the Patriots. The Redskins have played surprisingly decent football this year, but the Giants have to know this is a huge opportunity to create some separation in the medicore NFC East. The Eagles are in full meltdown mode and the Cowboys have lost Tony Romo for the season. Is New York really going to let a 4-6 Redskins team make things interesting down the stretch? Expect the Giants, who are the better team, to be prepared and force a couple of turnovers from Kirk Cousins.
