Akron CB Seth Cunningham accused of stealing bong in armed robbery

Akron senior cornerback Seth Cunningham was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly robbing a tobacco pipe store at gunpoint, The Medina-Gazette reports.

According to The Gazette, Brunswick police say Cunningham entered a 24-hour tobacco pipe store and waved a 9mm handgun in the air. He allegedly went to a display case and stole a water pipe (aka bong) valued at $447 and fled the store.

Police later spotted Cunningham in his truck sitting in the driveway of a home. They found Cunningham with the pipe and pistol. Fox 8 in Cleveland says he admitted to the robbery.

Cunningham was taken to the Medina County Jail. He posted a $30,000 bond on Wednesday and was released.

Fox 8 says Cunningham has been suspended indefinitely pending the outcome of the case.

So, I gotta ask, how do you think this whole thing went down? I’m guessing this guy was blazing late at night with the bros at the crib and talking about that awesome bong they always see at the store. He probably decided, “screw it, what’s mine is mine. I’m finally gonna jack it.” And he did. And he got busted. Smooth move.
