Tate scored three times in the Houston Texans’ 34-31 loss at home to the New England Patriots. He scored on an 8-yard run in the first quarter, 20-yard run in the second quarter, and he put the Texans up 31-28 on a 10-yard score in the fourth. After scoring in the fourth, Tate pointed to Foster on the sidelines and then bowed to the crowd just like Foster does.
It was a cool gesture by Tate, who finished with 102 yards on 22 carries. He has been running full-time for the Texans since Foster injured his back in Week 9 and underwent surgery.
