UFC Octagon Girl Arianny Celeste received a rash of bad publicity late in May after she and her boyfriend, Praveen Chandra, were arrested on domestic violence charges. Luckily for the two, the charges reportedly have been dropped.

“After our review of the case, we found that there was insufficient evidence to move forward,” an assistant to the Las Vegas district attorney told MMA Junkie.

There seemed to be plenty of evidence to move forward with charges based on what we read, but I’m guessing a higher force interceded. Do you really think the city of Las Vegas would press charges against a UFC darling given how important the UFC is to the city? This is the same Sin City where a judge delayed Floyd Mayweather’s jail sentence so he could fight and bring in the dough for the town.

Money quite obviously talked in this one.

UFC Octagon girl Arianny Celeste reportedly admits she kicked boyfriend Praveen Chandra in the face during their fight last weekend that resulted in the two being arrested for domestic violence, but she says she was acting in self-defense.

Celeste, whose real name is Arianny Lopez, reportedly told Hollyscoop “I was defending myself after he choked me twice.”

Additionally, Hollyscoop suggests Chandra has a history of rowdy behavior with Celeste.

A source who was on set during a recent Deadmau5 music video shoot starring the UFC Octagon Girl tells Hollyscoop that Praveen showed up to the set intoxicated and went off on a jealous rage because he didn’t want her appearing in the video.

If Celeste didn’t already have the public’s support because of her popularity, reading this report should certainly gain their favor. I imagine Chandra probably is claiming he was acting in self-defense as well.

UFC Octagon girl Arianny Celeste was arrested early Saturday morning in Las Vegas on domestic violence charges and was released after posting bond. The UFC announced its support of Celeste despite details from the arrest not being available, but now we know what happened.

The arrest report was released on Tuesday and the Las Vegas Sun says the incident between Celeste, 26, and her boyfriend, Praveen Chandra, 34, began in a limousine. Chandra told police that Celeste, whose real name is Arianny Lopez, kicked him in the nose over text messages he supposedly sent to other women.

The argument reportedly escalated at their hotel room at the Wynn. Chandra accused Lopez of throwing two vases at him. Lopez told police her boyfriend choked her and grabbed her right arm.

The two reportedly have been dating for months, which is probably the saddest news of all to most UFC fans. As far as what happened between the two, that depends on whom you believe. I’m guessing there’s a bit of truth to both of their sides. And how crazy is it that Chandra may have been texting other women despite dating a girl who has posed for Playboy? Celeste really isn’t enough for him?

Massively popular UFC ring girl Arianny Celeste was arrested and booked on domestic violence charges early Saturday morning in Las Vegas.

The 26-year-old posted her $3,000 bond and was released around 7 p.m., after Saturday’s UFC 146 had started at the MGM Grand. She eventually made it to the event and was met with a chorus of cheers from the crowd.

Earlier in the day, UFC president Dana White pledged that the MMA brand will continue to lend its support behind Celeste.

“Arianny is our baby,” White said in a statement. “She has been with us for over five years. She is a good girl and an amazing ambassador for the UFC. I don’t know all the details of what happened but we have her back and support her 100 percent.”

It’s interesting UFC would jump so quickly to such a position when details surrounding her arrest were still vague, especially after the PR hit the company took recently with Jon “Bones” Jones’ DUI. But looking at Arianny and given that UFC’s main demographic is hormone-charged, red-blooded 18-to-35-year-old males, we can understand why.

UFC fighter Chael Sonnen easily has one of the wackiest personalities in MMA. He doesn’t hold back when challenging opposing fighters, and he gets completely goofy in interviews like this one with TSN Canada. It’s that type of behavior that helped him become the host of the World MMA Awards that will air Wednesday.

In an interview with Las Vegas Weekly published Friday, Sonnen answered several questions regarding the awards show. This is the one that caused the fireworks:

UFC ring girl Arianny Celeste has looked pretty good in the past when we’ve featured her on the site. There was the time in October when she posed in Playboy and nearly stopped the internet. Before that, we announced she was going to pose in Playboy and shared plenty of pictures of her looking good. If you enjoyed those pictures, then you’ll really like this Bud Light Lime commercial:

Thank to Sportsfeeder and SI Hot Clicks for directing our attention to the video.

Back in August, we told you that UFC Ring Girl Arianny Celeste was posing in Playboy. Miss Celeste did her shoot and interview with Playboy, and she’s on the cover of the November issue which hits newsstands Friday.

Unless your name is Rube Baker, you probably skip the interview and go straight for the pictures. With that knowledge in mind, here are the cliffs notes from the interview. Celeste says her legs are one of her strongest features “I love my legs – they’re super-strong and lean. I’m proud of these stems.” Not that you’d see those stems in any of our preview pics, but they’ll probably be on display in the magazine.

The other interesting item revealed in the feature is Arianny is pursuing a music career and recently recorded her first pop single, “Fight to Love Me,” which will be available in late October. Who knew? Alright, so here are a few pictures courtesy of Playboy with the nude ones available in the mag.
